Thanks in particular to a double from Jonathan David, Losc won 3-0 their round of 16 first leg of the Europa Conference League at Sturm Graz on Thursday evening in Austria.

Traveling to Austria in the town of Arnold Schwarzenegger on Thursday, Losc ended the suspense of their Europa League knockout round of the Europa Conference League against Sturm Graz in the first leg. Vastly superior on the pitch, Paulo Fonseca’s Mastiffs won 3-0 and could have left with a larger score without the saves from the opposing goalkeeper.

Jonathan David scored a double during this European meeting scheduled for 6:45 p.m., first on a cross from Ayyoub Bouaddi, a 16-year-old midfielder, starting for the 4th time in the European Cup, and now more young French player in history to make a decisive pass (28th). Lucas Chevalier then got his own with a foot save (37th).

Zhegrova’s spectacular goal

The Canadian striker doubled the lead after returning from the locker room, following a long-range strike from Hakon Haraldsson (64th). Then Edon Zhegrova scored a sublime goal, sending his cross (or his shot from an off-center position) into the opposite corner (71st)! The final blow for Graz.

The two teams meet again in a week at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy. Lille, barring an improbable disaster, will be in the quarter-finals and can dream big in this Conference League. Among the other favorites, Ajax and Aston Villa were neutralized (0-0), while Fiorentina played in the evening against Maccabi Haifa in Budapest.
