Quentin Merlin is flourishing at Olympique de Marseille and enjoying the positive dynamic.
Arriving this winter from FC Nantes, Quentin Merlin has already integrated well into Olympique de Marseille. The young 21-year-old French defender spoke about his first weeks at OM during a press conference this Wednesday, before hosting Villarreal this Thursday in the round of 16 of the Europa League.
Merlin had a mixed start in Marseille, arriving in the middle of a period of turbulence. “I have known Marseille in all situations. I arrived in a complicated period,” he confided.

However, the atmosphere has since changed with the arrival of Jean-Louis Gasset as coach. “Today we are going through a positive period, with a change of coach. We were touched by Gattuso’s departure, because we feel responsible,” he said.
Despite his turbulent beginnings, Merlin flourished fully at OM. “Personally, I feel very good at OM. I work and progress with the team as well as the technical staff. I am very happy to have come here and we must continue like this,” he said.
