Pierre Lees-Melou in the French team. This is the ambition for which Éric Roy, coach of Brest, campaigned last week at a press conference. For him, his midfielder, symbol of the magnificent season at Stade Brestois, deserved to be selected in view of his successful season. One week before the announcement of Didier Deschamps’ selections for the two matches of the international break (Germany on 03/23 and Chile on 03/26), Pierre Lees-Melou wanted to be realistic and indicated that it was an unattainable goal for him in an interview given to West France.

“To be honest, I never even dreamed of it. Because the step is too high. I dreamed of being a professional, yes, to say otherwise would be a lie, and I’m already living a dream by being a professional. But the French team… The coach overdid it a little! I don’t think about it, and I don’t think I’ll be there. For me, there is no debate”he explained to close the subject.
