Booked in the first half against Real Sociedad, Achraf Hakimi will miss Paris Saint-Germain’s possible quarter-final first leg of the Champions League.

He was one of the players who had to keep their guard up. With Manuel Ugarte and Lucas Hernandez, Achraf Hakimi was one of three Paris Saint-Germain players under threat of suspension in the event of a yellow card, this Tuesday evening, for the round of 16 second leg of the Champions League on the Real Sociedad pitch.

The Moroccan full-back was booked twice during the group stage, at Newcastle and against AC Milan. The former Inter Milan player was again sanctioned by English referee Michael Oliver, in the 41st minute, for a sole on the Spaniard Javi Galan.

Hakimi suspended for the quarter?

As a result, Hakimi will be suspended for the next European Cup match for which he is eligible. He will therefore miss the quarter-final first leg of the Champions League, if PSG qualifies.

This is a big blow for the capital club, which could inherit a very big piece at this stage of the competition, and which would therefore have to cope without its starting right side.
