A record transfer to PSG?

With the departure of Kylian Mbappé next summer, PSG will have to strike hard to strengthen themselves in the offensive sector and the arrival of Victor Osimhen could be very, very expensive.

After the XXL recruitments of Gonçalo Ramos and Randal Kolo Muani last summer, for 80 and 95 million euros respectively, PSG will have to put their hands in their pockets in a few months. Kylian Mbappé, the team’s top scorer for six years, has in fact decided to leave the French capital to join that of Spain, by joining Real Madrid.

Ramos and Kolo Muani being little used and disappointing on the pitch, Luis Campos, the head of the sports sector, would have decided to bring in a world-class number 9. Like last year, Victor Osimhen is in the sights, but Manchester United are also targeting the Nigerian striker from Napoli and are ready to pay the player’s departure clause valid for next summer, at 120 million euros.

Third most expensive recruit in history?

Faced with this competition, PSG will therefore have to sign a check for 120 million, for what would then be the third largest transfer in the club’s history, behind Neymar (222 million euros) and Kylian Mbappé (180) and in front of “RKM” (95). With this investment, Campos will then have much less to spend on a central defender and a midfielder.

Note that the Red Devils, who already broke the bank last summer for Rasmus Hojlund, could recruit a less referenced scorer than Osimhen. Viktor Gyokeres would be plan B, according to The Independent. This 25-year-old Swedish center forward is a hit at Sporting (already 32 goals this season in all competitions). He was recruited last year in the Championship, from Coventry.
