OGC Nice lost in Toulouse this Sunday for the 24th day of L1 (2-1). The Gym is falling in the rankings.

For a long time, the Niçois were able to play spoilsport this season, establishing themselves as the most consistent first runners-up in the wake of PSG. In 2024, however, it is more complicated for the Azuréens, who have not won in the league since January 27 and have just had two draws and three defeats.

This Sunday in Toulouse, as part of the 24e lifted from L1, the Aiglons were unable to stop this black streak, surprised with the score of 2-1 while they opened the scoring at the Stadium. Opportunistic, Moffi gave his team the advantage in the first period, early in the match (0-1, 8e), but the TFC was responsive, gaining strength as the game progressed.

A first since 2018 for the TFC

Everything changed shortly after the hour mark, when Dallinga equalized on a good serve from Kamanzi (1-1, 65e), immediately offering the winning ball to Gboho, only four minutes later (2-1, 69e). Yet another disappointment for the Gym, which finds itself fifth in the elite, behind Brest, Monaco and Lille, under threat from OM, Lens and Rennes.

For Toulouse residents, the trajectory is diametrically opposite. For the first time since 2018, the Haut-Garonnais sign three victories in a row in the championship and are provisionally positioned at 10e rank, seven steps ahead of the red zone.
