De Jong’s injury is terrible to see – although it’s probably the less serious of the two. In an aerial duel, the Dutch midfielder landed badly and his right ankle then turned! Unsurprisingly, he was unable to resume the game and was replaced in the 26th minute of the game (by Fermin Lopez).
