The Spanish police headquarters announced that it had arrested an Atlético de Madrid supporter yesterday in the investigation into the attack on a little girl wearing a Vinícius Júnior jersey. Last September, the Real Madrid fan suffered racist insults and death threats before the derby near the Metropolitan stadium.
The eight-year-old minor was attending her first football match. She was in the arms of one of her parents before suffering a severe anxiety attack and leaving the stadium. After months of investigation, the Atlético supporter will be tried for serious insults and assault on a minor.
