Dominant in the first period, La Louve dampened Monza’s hopes at the end by scoring two goals in quick succession from Lorenzo Pellegrini (0-1, 38th) and Romelu Lukaku (0-2, 42nd). Returning from the locker room, Roma was shaken but Paulo Dybala completed his team’s success shortly after the hour mark (0-3, 63rd). Leandro Paredes scored from the penalty spot to correct Monza (0-4, 83rd) before Andrea Carboni reduced the gap at the very end of the match (1-4, 88th). With this very important success, the residents of the Olympic stadium in Rome climb to fifth place. Monza is eleventh.
