Kylian Mbappé looked completely impassive while speaking on his phone after being taken off at half-time of Paris Saint-Germain’s match with Monaco.
PSG coach Luis Enrique decided to release the striker after a disappointing 45 minutes in the draw against Monaco on Friday evening.
There were fears that the crack Bondy had picked up an injury, but his casual stroll through the tunnel and along the pitch suggested he had been substituted for another reason.
Mbappé chose not to join his PSG colleagues on the sidelines. He greeted the fans and took a photo with them before walking up the stairs and joining his mother in the stand, where he sat smiling and talking.
After being replaced for the second consecutive time, tension rises between Mbappé, his teammates and coach Luis Enrique. The French star has already informed the club that she will be leaving at the end of the season on a free transfer and looks set to join Real Madrid in the summer. But before that, the 25-year-old hopes to be back in the squad for Tuesday’s Champions League match against Real Sociedad.
