A senior player from Olympique de Marseille takes on a new role in Jean-Louis Gasset’s tactical system.
Arrived in Marseille from Schalke 04 in 2021, Amine Harit emerges as one of the most technical elements of the OM squad. Through his quality of passing and dribbling, the Moroccan international has gained depth in this unique club.
However, Amine Harit’s position continues to fuel debate. Often aligned in the attacking line during the first part of his career, the former Nantais player has taken on the role of a true midfielder since his return from injuries this season.
New position for an essential link in OM
Amine Harit appeared at a press conference to discuss this development in his career. The versatile attacking midfielder likes to organize the game from a lower position.
“ I play in a different position this season, I played more like a striker before, he explained. The CAN and this cut slowed me down. I was in a good period before the African Cup. I need more time to recover. But honestly, I feel much better and I hope that at the end of the season I will be able to start again like at the start of the season“, concluded the Moroccan international.
