Four days before returning to Real Sociedad, PSG lost a player to injury during the Ligue 1 clash against Monaco.
Hard blow for the Parisians. After feeling pain in his thigh during the match counting for the 24th day of Ligue 1 between AS Monaco and Paris Saint-Germain this Friday evening, Marco Asensio sat on the ground and asked for a change.
Replaced immediately by Bradley Barcola (39th), the former Madrilenian returned to the Parisian sidelines and put an ice pack on his thigh. It now remains to be seen whether this is a simple blow or whether the injury is muscular in nature.
Big concern before Real
One thing is certain: this is very bad news for PSG. Indeed, the residents of the Parc des Princes will travel to the Real Sociedad field on Wednesday evening, to play their round of 16 second leg of the Champions League (2-0 first leg victory). And probably without his Spanish attacking midfielder.
