Monaco-PSG: The probable line-ups

By: Manu Tournoux

On the road to Monaco on Friday, PSG will have to deal with numerous absences in central defense.

Large leader of Ligue 1, PSG is entitled to a real test on Friday, four days before the return match of the round of 16 of the Champions League. Five days after their draw against Rennes (1-1), at the Parc des Princes, the French champions visit Monaco, their other bête noire in Ligue 1.

And against the Principality club, PSG will have to cope without its captain. Already deprived of Milan Skriniar and Presnel Kimpembe, the Parisians will play without Marquinhos, left to rest after feeling new calf pain.

PSG should therefore evolve with a Beraldo-Pereira hinge, despite the lack of guarantees displayed by the Brazilian. Despite the return of Nuno Mendes, Lucas Hernandez should be aligned in the left lane. In midfield, Fabian Ruiz should be renewed alongside Warren Zaire-Emery and Vitinha while in attack, Randal Kolo Muani could be preferred to Bradley Barcola on the left.

In Monaco, Wissam Ben Yedder and Folarin Balogun should be combined in attack and Thilo Kehrer should be brought back to central defense to face his former teammates.

Monaco: Khön – Singo, Kehrer, Salisu, Ouattara – Minamino, Fofana, Zakaria, Golovin – Ben Yedder, Balogun.

PSG: Donnarumma – Hakimi, Pereira, Beraldo, Hernandez – Ruiz, Vitinha, Zaire-Emery – Dembélé, Mbappé, Kolo Muani.
