Luis Enrique decided to replace Kylian Mbappé at half-time of the Ligue 1 clash between AS Monaco and Paris Saint-Germain.

This is an episode that will undoubtedly generate a lot of ink. Established on the left side of the Parisian attack this Friday evening, during the match counting for the 24th day of Ligue 1 between AS Monaco and Paris Saint-Germain, Kylian Mbappé was taken out by Luis Enrique at the break.

The reason ? It is still unknown. Bondy’s kid is a long time remained on the ground after contact in the first period, but returned to his place as if nothing had happened. He even joined the locker room all smiles at half-time. Enough to cast doubt on the thesis of a blow received…

Mbappé sat directly in the stands

Especially since after taking a shower and getting dressed, the “Kyk’s” did not sit on the substitutes’ bench but joined his mother in the aisles of the Stade Louis II. All without limping and always with a smile on his face. The 2018 world champion was replaced by Randal Kolo Muani, while the captain’s armband he wore in Marquinhos’ absence was given to Achraf Hakimi. It therefore seems that this is a strong new choice from Luis Enrique, as announced by RMC Sport.

This is not the first time that the Spanish coach has done without the services of Kylian Mbappé since the latter announced his departure internally at the end of the season. In Nantes he had already started the game on the bench, against Rennes he was replaced at the hour mark and this time he was replaced at the break. Three matches in a row therefore mean that the captain of the Blues does not play the entire 90 minutes.
