Former Swedish international Zlatan Ibrahimovic was nostalgic when discussing the new AC Milan stadium project.
Former AC Milan and Inter Milan star striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has spoken out about the Rossoneri’s plan to build a new stadium. The Swede, now advisor to the Lombard club, gave his opinion on the future of the Giuseppe-Meazza stadium, better known as the San Siro, historic lair of the two Milanese clubs.
“I will miss San Siro more than I will miss San Siro. I made him tremble, few players can make him tremble,” declared the newly retired this Thursday at the Financial Times Business of Football Summit in London.
A better fan experience
Ibrahimovic, who had great moments at San Siro, nevertheless recognizes that the club needs a fresh start. “I have great memories at San Siro. It’s a historic stadium, an ancient place. Many great moments have happened in this stadium. Every story has a new beginning. For fans there are much more modern things to do and the new stadiums offer all these incredible possibilities. »
The new AC Milan stadium project provides for a capacity of 70,000 seats. The Serie A resident hopes that the realization of this project will improve the fan experience.
