Mbappé, the big warning

Former French international Jérôme Rothen is concerned about the sporting choices envisaged by Paris Saint-Germain for the post-Mbappé era.

At the end of his contract next June, Kylian Mbappé has already informed Paris Saint-Germain of his desire to leave the club at the end of the season.

Despite this announcement, the PSG staff would not necessarily consider replacing the French prodigy, associated with an arrival at Real Madrid, with another star. Enough to arouse the concern of Jérôme Rothen, former Parisian and consultant for RMC.

A new strategy

“Internally, because I have spoken with many, they do not realize this departure of Kylian Mbappé. At least, they are trying to minimize the loss,” judged the 2004 European vice-champion.

The former midfielder, however, warned the reigning French champion. “They want several offensive players, because you don’t replace Kylian Mbappé just with one player. But the word ‘star’, I actually don’t care, that’s not the problem. We must not fall from one excess to another,” concluded Rothen.
