Valenciennes in the last four

VA won its place in the semi-finals of the Coupe de France this Wednesday to the detriment of Rouen (1-1, 2 tab to 4).

Red lantern of Ligue 2, Valenciennes gave itself a little air and happiness by overcoming Rouen, current eighth power in National (third division).

While Loppy allowed the Rouennais to equalize in added time by transforming a penalty in two stages (90^e+1), VA had taken the upper hand in this part thanks to Oyewusi (26^e).

It was ultimately on penalties, without going to extra time, that the northern visitors made the difference in Normandy (2-4).

VA thus joins OL, who lost Strasbourg the day before (0-0, 4 tab to 3), in the last four of the Coupe de France. The other two tickets for the semi-finals will be played during the Le Puy Foot-Rennes matches (this Thursday) and PSG-Nice (March 13).
