Marcus Rashford and Erik ten Hag are on the brink of a breakup, according to a report.

The Sun reports the pair have barely spoken since Rashford’s excursion to a Belfast nightclub in January, which led to him missing training and sitting out an FA Cup match against Newport County.

According to The Sun, “the Mancunian staff now fear that the relationship between the manager and the player is irreparably broken”, as Rashford continues to struggle to regain the form that saw him reach his career-best score of 30 goals last season.

Three alternatives to Rashford

After a frustrating campaign, the England international could be allowed to leave this summer, with PSG linked with a potential move for him as they look to replace Kylian Mbappé.
This would leave a void at Man Utd, providing Jim Ratcliffe and his new team with the opportunity to showcase their recruiting skills.

Kingsley Coman, from Bayern Munich, Rafael Leao, from AC Milan and Nico Williams from Athletic Bilbao, would thus be considered by the Mancunian leaders to replace Rashford this summer.
