Qualified for the semi-finals of the Coupe de France thanks to a victory on penalties, Olympique Lyonnais has been comfortable in the exercise for several years.
Olympique Lyonnais had to rely on a penalty shootout to overcome Strasbourg on Tuesday in the quarter-finals of the Coupe de France. Unable to find the fault during the 90 minutes of regulation time, OL, on the other hand, proved infallible in the penalty shootout exercise and won 4-3 even before the last shooter.
This victory is reminiscent of others and OL can boast of having won five of the last six penalty shootouts in all competitions. A success all the more remarkable given that Les Gones had only won six of the previous 24 according to the Foot Stats account.
