A subject which is starting to bother the Italian coach. “I had one thought before Modric’s goal and after the goal I had another thought. I think he understands it and if he doesn’t understand it, nothing will happen, but I don’t have to give any explanations.”, he explained after the weekend’s victory against Sevilla. Before the match, he had already positioned himself on this subject: “Arda Güler not playing is a question of competition with others. I pick the 11 who are playing and some are struggling to get in because they have lost a lot of time due to injuries. He is very young and must be patient”.
A tense situation
And as explained A.S., the player who has only played 92 minutes in total this season in all competitions is starting to pose a problem. The player is upset, and doesn’t understand why he doesn’t play regularly. Above all, he does not hesitate to show it. The newspaper cites for example this match against Almeria where he threw away his warm-up shirt when he realized that Ancelotti would not bring him on. Against Sevilla last weekend, he was preparing to come on, but Modric’s goal changed his coach’s plans. And the Turk’s discomfort was visible and undisguised when he learned that he was not going to set foot on the pitch at the Bernabéu.
Attitudes that annoy the Madrilenians, especially for such a young player who has not yet shown anything. The player’s entourage would also be putting pressure on the Madrid staff, which logically goes down quite badly for Valdebebas.
