But the choice fell to another man.

Relaunch the Fennecs

Former Switzerland coach, Vladimir Petkovic would thus be on the verge of being inducted, according to an indiscretion of the Algerian Radio. Well known to supporters of the France team since he was in charge of the Swiss selection during the elimination of the Blues on penalties, in the round of 16 of Euro 2021, Petkovic brings with him solid experience for the position of coach.

Naturalized Swiss, the native of Sarajevo (ex-Yugoslavia) now aged sixty years old coached numerous Swiss clubs before trying his luck without much success at Samsunspor (Turkey) or even at Lazio Rome. His experience on the bench of the Girondins de Bordeaux, the year of their descent into Ligue 2, also remains a big black spot and his last appearance on a bench. Algeria hopes that he will be the man who will give new impetus to the Fennecs.
