The season is approaching and clubs are starting to consider offering contracts to players whose contracts expire in a few months.
Real Madrid are no exception and have several top players likely to leave for free this summer. Luka Modric, Toni Kroos, Nacho Fernandez and Lucas Vazquez are all out of contract at the end of the season, but as Marca reports, none of them have yet been offered the chance to stay for another 12 months .
However, it is likely that negotiations will begin in the coming weeks within the White House offices.
Nacho can stay
Modric seems destined to leave Real Madrid after 12 years, as he has been out of favor since the start of the season. Vazquez’s future is uncertain, while Nacho has the option to stay, provided he wants to.
Ancelotti absolutely wants Kroos to stay, and he has made this known to the Real Madrid board. However, the German midfielder is yet to decide on his future, and he may choose to retire this summer once the European Championship is over.
