The FCN won on the Lorient pitch this Saturday as part of the 23rd day of L1 (0-1).

Connected to alternating current in recent weeks and once again exposed, with a tiny mattress to protect itself from the red zone, Nantes gave itself some fresh air this Saturday by dominating Lorient, at Moustoir, on the smallest of margins (0 -1).

More realistic and above all more precise in front of the cage than the Merlus, the Canaries made the difference at the start of the second half thanks to Castelletto, a recovery adjusted to a good serve from Simon (49e). A goal to which the Bretons were unable to respond.

End of series for Lorient

Thanks to this success, the Nantes residents are three steps ahead of their hosts of the day, temporarily rising to 12e position when the Lorientais remain 16e and in the red, in the barrage position. Still five or six steps ahead of Metz and Clermont.

After three consecutive victories, this is a setback for the Merlus who, however, keep Montpellier, Toulouse and even Le Havre in their sights, before the end of the weekend.
