Manchester City won at Bournemouth (0-1) on Saturday to come within one point of leader Liverpool, thanks to a goal from Phil Foden.
Three days after Liverpool’s victory over Luton (4-1), Manchester City also won their match on the 26th day of the Premier League, Saturday afternoon, at Bournemouth (0-1). The reigning English and European champion comes back to one point behind the Reds, with the same number of matches now. Arsenal can also catch up with the top two if they succeed in the evening against Newcastle.
A single goal from Phil Foden brought happiness to Pep Guardiola’s team (24th). After a strike from Erling Haaland was repelled by Neto, the England international followed up to once again shake the net. His statistics have been incredible since the start of the year, with 16 goals and 10 assists in all competitions. A godsend as the Cityzens lost Ilkay Gündogan last summer.
