Trailing, Olympique Lyonnais finally got the better of FC Metz (1-2), this Friday evening, at the opening of the 23rd day of Ligue 1.

Nothing stops Olympique Lyonnais. Traveling to FC Metz in crisis, this Friday evening as part of the 23rd round of the French championship, Les Gones won (1-2), achieving a fourth success in a row.

Pierre Sage’s men, however, took a while to get into their match, jostled by valiant Messins, who almost logically opened the scoring with a little gem from Mikautadze (1-0, 13th). But the Lyonnais can count on their captain Lacazette, who equalized just before returning to the locker room (1-1, 45th+1).

Great first for Benrahma

Coming into play after the break, Benrahma scored his very first goal in his new colors (1-2, 61st), validating the good start to the second half of the Rhodaniens. Ahead, Lyon managed the end of the match well against the uninspired Garnets.

The Lyonnais thus gain a place in the ranking, moving from 11th position to 10th, but above all they are giving themselves some breathing space in the red zone, now six points ahead of the jump-off. For their part, the Messins remain stuck in a dangerous 17th place and could even find themselves bottom at the end of the day.
