This Thursday is a sad day for Paris Saint-Germain since Artur Jorge passed away at the age of 78. At the head of the Ile-de-France club between 1991 and 1994 then during the 1998/1999 season, he won Ligue 1 between 1994 and the Coupe de France in 1993 with the capital club. He also knew how to shine with FC Porto (triple champion of Portugal and winner of the C1 in 1987) and CSKA Moscow (Russian Super Cup), he who also managed Benfica and selections such as Switzerland, Portugal and Cameroon.

Retired since 2015, he left us following an illness. While PSG had already paid tribute to a great man in the club’s history, its president Nasser Al-Khelaïfi also spoke: “on behalf of the Paris Saint-Germain family I would like to pay a sincere tribute to our former coach Artur Jorge, who unfortunately left us. Artur played an important role in our history and we will always be grateful for his contribution. We will remember him for his passion, his demands and his high-level culture that he brought to Paris. Paris Saint-Germain presents its most sincere condolences to his family and friends.”
