Every week, the CIES Football Observatory publishes a study on a specific subject related to football. In its 452nd weekly letter, the institute looked at the volume of incoming or outgoing transactions from 169 clubs whose threshold of €100 million has been exceeded over the last 5 years. To summarize, CIES studied the level of volume of money exchanged. In Europe, Chelsea are well ahead with a balance sheet of 2.572 billion euros. In second position, we find Manchester City (€1.726 billion). Finally, Paris St-Germain is on the third step of the podium with €1.404 billion.

The capital club is therefore logically at the top of the rankings in France. In L1, OL are the second team to have exchanged the most money (purchase or sale). Les Gones total 933 million euros. Next comes AS Monaco (900 million euros). Rennes (873 million euros) and Lille (751 million euros) are ahead of Olympique de Marseille (546 million euros), which is in 6th position in the ranking in France.
