PSG have made an important summer transfer decision which could impact the future of Napoli striker Victor Osimhen.

Osimhen is a player expected to leave Serie A in the next transfer window, with the new contract he signed at the end of 2023 containing a release clause intended to allow him to leave for a fee in the region of £130. millions of euros. While interest has mainly come from the Premier League, where Chelsea are ahead of Manchester United and Arsenal as favorites to sign the Nigerian striker, PSG have long been linked with Osimhen.

Indeed, the 25-year-old was expected to join the Parc des Princes when the departure of Kylian Mbappé was considered last summer. While Mbappé will leave PSG at the end of his lease in June, Osimhen is the subject of new transfer rumors linking him to the Parisian team. Le Parisien confirms that interest in the player, who already has Ligue 1 experience with Lille, is still current.

PSG is still thinking about it

He affirms that the Championship leader is seeking to make a replacement equivalent to Mbappé and specifies that PSG is ready to pay “a lot of money” for this confirmed scorer. The two Parisian scorers, Randal Kolo Muani and Goncalo Ramos, were followed by Man Utd last summer with the aim of recruiting them. But PSG does not intend to sell any of its elements, even if the door is not necessarily closed to a departure.

Le Parisien states: “If they leave Paris, it will be on their initiative, at their request. For the moment, Randal Kolo Muani does not follow this logic. For Goncalo Ramos, it is a little less clear and it is not excluded that he intends to change scenery next summer after a very difficult first few months. Its compatibility with Luis Enrique’s game raises questions.”
