David Ginola, one of PSG’s legends, expressed his concern for the end of the club’s season following Mbappé’s announcement.
We have known for ten days that the current season will be the very last for Kylian Mbappé with PSG. From next summer, the Bondynois will no longer wear the jersey of this club.
How will Parisians cope with this news? So far, they seem to be digesting it pretty well. Both the managers and the players. But, that might not last. In any case, this is what David Ginola, one of the club’s icons, fears.
Ginola has concerns for PSG
Guest of Canal+ this Wednesday, Magnifico indicated that “it was inevitably destabilizing”. “Because he’s the best player in the world and he’s going strong. There was a long-term project with him which is to win the Champions League,” he elaborated.
Mbappé will not be the first star to leave PSG in recent months. Ginola points out, however, that the situation is slightly different this time. “Messi was Argentinian, we accept that, but Mbappé is French. With a proven sporting project at PSG. They are favorites every year. You lose the best player in the squad, that’s obviously a problem. Everybody talks about it. »
Ginola’s concern is, however, not shared by Samir Nasri. The former Marseille player believes that the club has everything to recover: “If Paris will suffer from it? It depends on how he is perceived in the group. Maybe his teammates will want to do something. A feat to win the Champions League before he leaves. It would be symbolic.”
