Heung-min Son sends a strong message to Kang-in Lee

In the midst of a storm after the revelations concerning his altercation with Heung-min Son during the Asian Cup of Nations, Kang-in Lee has broken his silence several times, he who is singled out in South Korea. Last night, he published a new message of apology, he who visited the Tottenham player. “I did something I should never have done in the dining room that day. When you think about it, it was just an action I should never have done. I’m deeply angry about this stuff. Respect and dedication to the team is the most important thing but I failed in my mission. I apologized to the other members of the representative team and to the teammates. I contacted each and every one of them. (…) Despite the expectations and supports, I apologize once again for disappointing football fans for being an exemplary image and character that I should have as a Korean national player. I know I was disappointed especially with all the love you gave me. From now on, I will be a Lee Kang-in who works harder and is dedicated to personal development as a football player and as a person.”

Everything was accompanied by a photo of Son and Lee, who explained themselves. Not holding a grudge, the Spurs player also assumed his share of responsibility. “I am sincerely sorry for causing problems and I will work even harder to make the national team grow. Kang-in went through a very difficult time after this incident. Please forgive him. If the same situation happened again, I would act in the same way, because it is one of the duties of the captain.
