Pablo Longoria, the president of OM, admitted that he has his share of responsibility in the calamitous season that his club is going through.

OM is experiencing a real crisis at the moment, and this is what led management to change coaches for the second time this season. Exit Gattuso, the Phocaeans have bet on Jean-Louis Gasset with the hope of being able to turn things around.

The Italian technician therefore paid the price. However, he is not responsible for all the ills plaguing the Vélodrome. And this is a reality that Pablo Longoria recognized this Tuesday during the press briefing for the presentation of the new coach.

Longoria does not give up

“I want to thank the work and the man Gattuso who came in a difficult moment. I assume my responsibilities as president, I have my part in the bad results “, he told the audience.

Since he has been in charge of OM, namely since January 2021, Longoria has exhausted five different coaches. Before Gattuso, he also worked with Marcelino, Tudor, Sampaoli and Villas-Boas.

Times are tough in Marseille, but the Spanish leader strives to believe in a bright future. “We will do everything to have a successful season. We therefore made the decision to hire Jean Louis (Gasset), we had to change the current dynamic. We think he’s the ideal person to make a splash.”
