The race for Europe remains undecided in L1. This Sunday, Rennes extended its winning streak at the expense of Clermont (3-1) while Monaco was surprised by Toulouse (1-2).
Three days after being swept away in Milan (3-0), Stade Rennais recovered well this Sunday as part of the 22e day of Ligue 1. Carried in particular by an opportunistic Terrier, the Bretons logically took the measure of Clermont, the red lantern of the elite, at Roazhon Park (3-1).
Omari opened the scoring for Rennes (31e), then Blas missed the break from the penalty spot (39e) but that did not prevent the locals from making themselves comfortable thanks to their French international striker sparked (58e64e). The Auvergnats reacted well with Matsima (62e), in vain, and Clermont to sink a little further into the red zone. Monaco threatened

Depending on the results of Lens and Brest in the evening, ASM could lose its place in the leading quartet. TFC for its part is taking a breath of fresh air with four units ahead of the relegation zone at the end of the weekend.
