Manchester United continues on its merry way. Without necessarily being flamboyant against Luton Town, the Reds Devils won (1-2). Receiving a bad pass from his opponent Amari’i Bell, he won his face-to-face (1st). Then he deceived the goalkeeper again by blocking a shot from his Argentine teammate Alejandro Garnacho following a corner (7th). For the sixth match in a row, the very fit Rasmus Hojlund found the net. He scored his 6th and 7th goal since the start of 2024. Carlton Morris for Luton, calmed Manchester’s enthusiasm with a victorious header (14th).
After a thunderous start to the match, Manchester United had other opportunities to take cover, including a poorly managed face-off by Alejandro Garnacho and a possible hat-trick from Rasmus Hojlund (78th). Luton could have equalized with Ross Barkley’s header crashing over the bar in the dying moments of the match. Victory is still achieved for Manchester United at Kenilworth Road. In the ranking, the Mancunians are getting closer to European places. For the promoted Luton Town, the defeat does not impact them in the standings. They remain just ahead of Everton, first in relegation, also defeated this weekend.
