This Saturday, Arsenal took to the pitch at Burnley and signed their fifth consecutive victory in the league.
The fight for the Premier League title continues and is likely to be fierce until the end of the season. In the early afternoon, Liverpool quietly won on the Brentford pitch (4-1), temporarily taking a five-point lead over Arsenalwho then moved to Burnley.
Arsenal in great shape
After spending 6 at West Ham, Mikel Arteta’s men once again showed themselves mercilessly at Turf Moor. Largely dominant, the Gunners found the fault in the 4th minute thanks to a superb half-volley Martin Odegaard (0-1, 4th). Unable to create danger, the Claretts suffered and were punished at the end of the period with a rather questionable penalty whistled for a foul on Leandro Trossard. Bukayo Saka converts and allows his team to have a two-goal lead at the break. (0-2)
No time to breathe after returning from the locker room as Saka scores a double after a good serve from Odegaard (0-3, 47th) before Trossard does not in turn find the fault (0-4, 66th). While Arteta chose to offer playing time to his usual replacements, the Canonniers once again drove home the point thanks to a solitary rush from Kai Havertz, who scored his fifth Premier League goal of the season. Thanks to this victory and this fifth consecutive success, Arsenal confirms its current excellent form and remains two points behind Liverpool at the top of the championship. Manchester City will therefore be under pressure for the reception of Chelsea this Saturday at 6:30 p.m.
