Now a consultant for the Canal+ group, Samir Nasri has expressed his desire to one day coach Olympique de Marseille.

Retired since 2020, Samir Nasri reconverted as a consultant and today works on the Canal+ channels. But the former French international could see himself becoming a coach in the future. And of course, one day managing Olympique de Marseille, his training club, is a dream for him.

“OM? I would love to coach there. I don’t tell myself that in a year I’m ready.(…) It’s better to start with a youth team where you’ll learn and make mistakes. (…) But yes, coaching OM is something to tick off in my head”confided Nasri during an interview with La Zone.

“I still want to enjoy a little bit before I start”

And to add: “I’m still trying to see certain things before I start. I try to enjoy my family a little bit because from the moment you start something as a coach, your family is your team, your club and you have to be obsessed with that. That’s why I still want to enjoy it a little bit before getting started. »

A priori, Samir Nasri will not yet be ready to take over from Gennaro Gattuso at the head of OM. But one day seeing the “Little Prince” take the reins of the residents of the Stade Vélodrome cannot be ruled out.
