Last week, Nasser Al-Khelaïfi dropped a bombshell on the sidelines of the UEFA congress held in Paris. The president of PSG revealed that his club was going to leave the Parc des Princes and settle elsewhere since discussions and negotiations with Paris town hall never came to fruition. Since then, several elected officials from Paris town hall have spoken out on the subject, indicating that the idea was to continue with the French champion team without selling the stadium. They were singled out, as was Mayor Anne Hidalgo. Insulted at the Parc des Princes during the match against Lille, she was tackled by her political opponents.

This is the case of Rachida Dati. On X, the Minister of Culture was very clear yesterday, she who wrote a message after the victory of Luis Enrique’s team in the Champions League.“Congratulations to PSG, who are the pride of Parisians. All major capitals have a major club. PSG must remain Parisian. Can’t wait to #ChangerParis #2026.” The town hall of the 7th arrondissement of the capital wants PSG to continue at the Park and has made this known, which is clearly impatiently awaiting the 2026 municipal elections.
