Despite the difficulties displayed in the first period, Kylian Mbappé was satisfied with the success won by PSG on Wednesday against Real Sociedad (2-0).

Kylian Mbappé will not have much to regret his huge missed opportunity in the first minutes of the match. It was certainly the Parisians’ only opportunity during the first period, but after a complicated first 45 minutes, the French champions raised their heads after the break and the former Monegasque delivered his own after a corner.

Bradley Barcola would double the lead ten minutes later and PSG will enter the return match with a clear advantage, which is enough for the happiness of its star striker. “We are happy with this first step, there is still a lot of work to do, but we are still leaving with a significant advantage”he confided after the match at the microphone of Canal+.

The Bondynois, however, did not hide the Parisians’ difficulties in the first period. “In the first half, we had difficulty getting out of the pressing. I think we could have added a little more personality because we had a numerical superiority in our camp, eight against six. We could have done a little better, but there it is, this is the learning of this team and we did not pay dearly for it,” he explained, adding: “In the second half, we came back with conviction and quality in terms of what we wanted to do in the build-up. We knew we were going to have space and we managed to score at key moments in the match. »
