Parisian Lee Kang-In reportedly had an altercation with teammate Son Heung-Min during the last Asian Cup, where the Tottenham striker suffered a finger injury.

Don’t look for Lee Kang-In in the Paris Saint-Germain group for the reception of Real Sociedad in the Champions League. The Korean international is absent for this meeting, officially reduced by illness. At the same time, the former Mallorca player is involved in a huge controversy in his country, since he allegedly took part in a fight within the South Korean team during the Asian Cup.

According to The Sun, the altercation took place shortly before the semi-final, due to… a game of ping-pong during dinner. “The incident happened when some young players went to play table tennis and Son Heung-min and other more experienced players complained about it”declared a representative of the federation, quoted by the Korean news agency Yonhap, to confirm the information from the English tabloid.

Son Heung-Min still injured

Superstar of the selection, Son Heung-Min was injured in the hand during this brawl, and The Sun speaks of a dislocated finger. The Tottenham striker played with a strap around the index and middle fingers of his right hand in this meeting where South Korea, favorite of the competition, was surprised by the astonishing Jordan in the semi-finals (2 -0). Lee Kang-In was involved in this altercation, and the PSG player admitted this Wednesday that he had had a “verbal argument” with Son, before apologizing.

This is obviously a little more than an exchange of words, since Son was therefore affected by wanting to separate the two groups. The Tottenham player allegedly grabbed Lee Kang-In, who then responded, injuring his captain. And in a rather serious way since Son still wore a bandage on his right hand during his last match in the Premier League, four days after this famous Asian Cup semi-final.
