The dark-haired Jérôme Rothen believes that Lionel Messi should be welcomed with whistles when he comes to Paris for the Olympics.
Lionel Messi left Paris last summer to take charge of Miami. But he may well have to return to the French capital. Next August, Argentina will participate in the Olympic football tournament and there is talk of La Pulga taking part in this competition.
If Messi returns to Paris and more particularly to the Parc des Princes, he may not be greeted with flowers. Indeed, PSG fans don’t really have good memories of him. There is this general feeling that he never really gave his all for the Ile-de-France team.
“Show Messi that we are unhappy”
So what treatment should be given to the eight-time winner of the Ballon d’Or? A certain Jérôme Rothen gave his opinion on the subject. And for him, the Albiceleste international deserves to be very severe against him.
“If he comes back to show off in the Argentina jersey, I’m not saying that you have to be violent but whistle at him when he’s on the pitch! Because that would be a way to challenge the fact that he messed with us and show that we are unhappy”he said in a furious tone.
The ex-PSG player continued by indicating that we must not forget the way in which Messi behaved with the Parisians and the French. “Some people already have short memories. Since he left, he has taken shots at PSG and France. It was not received as it apparently was supposed to be even though it was put on top of the Eiffel Tower. There was no respect on his part. He only made criticisms of Paris! He didn’t give anything, added Rothen.
