Bukayo Saka put in an impressive performance during the first half of the match between Arsenal and West Ham at the London Stadium.

The Gunners star scored his 50th goal for the club at the age of 22, in his 210th appearance for the north London side. After William Saliba opened the scoring in the 32nd minute, Saka scored from the penalty spot nine minutes later, before Gabriel and Leandro Trossard capped a remarkable 15-minute spell for Arsenal against West Ham on Sunday afternoon.

Saka scored another goal in the 60th minute to make it 5-0. He is Arsenal’s top scorer in all competitions this season with 12 goals, three more than Gabriel Jesus and Trossard. When the England international is fit, the Gunners tend to do well, as evidenced by the fact that Mikel Arteta’s men are once again in contention for the Premier League title, alongside Liverpool and Manchester City.

Arsenal and Saka in form

According to OptaJoe, Arsenal’s first-half rout of West Ham marked the first time Arsenal have led a Premier League away game by more than four goals at half-time since his famous away match against Newcastle United in February 2011. This match ended in a 4-4 draw.

Arsenal travel to relegation-threatened Burnley on February 17 before facing FC Porto in the Champions League round of 16 the following Wednesday in the first match of a double-header.
