ASM won against Nice this Sunday at the end of the 21st round of Ligue 1 (2-3). At the end of a topsy-turvy encounter.

After three days of the championship without success (two draws and a setback), Monaco returned to winning ways at the right time, this Sunday in Nice. To close the 21ste act of the season, the Monegasques, urged by their supporters to “get moving” – via an original, slightly more flowery banner – were able to be opportunistic enough to make the difference on the Gym pitch.

To do this, the Principality club was able to rely on a nice double from Zakaria (16e50e), and a final goal signed Golovin (77e) while the Aiglons were able to come back to the score twice thanks to Laborde (37e on penalty) and Guessand (74e). In the meantime, however, Dante had seen red for a sole on Minamino (54e). A fact of play which ended up being fatal for the locals.

Back on the podium

Building on this victory, ASM returns to the elite podium at the expense of Brest, held in check earlier in the day in Clermont (1-1). All just one length behind their opponent of the day, and with three more points on the clock than the Lille-Lens tandem, fifth and sixth in L1. A result which benefits the rest of PSG, leader who fell to Losc the day before (3-1) and now has a lead of 11 units over the OGCN.
