Federico Valverde posted a crude “three legs” message to Real Madrid superstar Jude Bellingham, in reference to his celebration against Girona.
Bellingham produced a brilliant performance against Girona in Real’s 4-0 win, scoring twice. He then posted a photo of himself celebrating on Instagram, and Valverde posted a joke in apparent reference to the England international’s genitals.
Bellingham wrote: “Nothing has been decided yet, we will continue to push. 20 pieces. #HalaMadrid”. The “20 pieces” refers to one serving of fried chicken. Valverde responded in a gritty and playful manner: “We can’t play with three legs.”
The angle of Bellingham’s photo shows that he may have had a little too much fun, and Valverde did not fail to make a crude reference to it. But the bottom line is that Real are now five points clear of second-placed Girona at the top of La Liga following Saturday’s win. Real will be in action in the Champions League, against RB Leipzig, in the first leg of the round of 16 on Tuesday. He will then return to La Liga against Rayo Vallecano on Sunday.
