It was a shock expected by all of Europe: runner-up to the surprising Bayer Leverkusen team in the Bundesliga, Bayern Munich was no match for the leader of the German championship.

Bayern: an executive calls for revolt
Called to comment on this poor performance, Thomas Müller did not beat around the bush. “ I’m really upset. Congratulations to Leverkusen, it’s an absolutely deserved victory. In training we show much better approaches because we are braver and play more football. Sometimes we lack freedom in matches, we think too much. Leverkusen plays simply, they look for solutions. When things get tough, we need to put the ball in the opponent’s half more often“, launched Müller on Sky Germany.
“ None of us took responsibility for leading the game. This can be explained by our lack of audacity, we players, our lack of aggressiveness and our poor reading of the match. It’s not the coach’s fault. Look at Leverkusen, not all moves are planned. They’re just playing. They play football“, concluded the German international.
