Led by Jude Bellingham and Vinicius Jr, Real Madrid corrected Girona (4-0) in the shock at the top of La Liga.

Clearly, this Real Madrid is uncompromising this season in La Liga. Despite these never-ending injuries in central defense, where Antonio Rüdiger joined the infirmary, the Merengues made short work of Girona (4-0) during the clash at the top of the Spanish championship.

To tell the truth, Carlo Ancelotti can well align an experimental hinge with a full-back and a midfielder (Carvajal and Tchouaméni, in this case), the Merengues do not have too much to worry about when Vinicius Jr and Jude Bellingham are playing at such a level.

Bellingham out with injury

The Brazilian set the tone by opening the scoring with a brilliant strike (1-0, 6th). Then he was at the origin of the two goals of his English friend, first by launching Bellingham with a superb outside foot (2-0, 35th), then by catching his side to initiate an action which resulted in a new goal from the former Dortmund player (3-0, 54th).

There will definitely be a black spot, with the exit due to injury of Bellingham, whose left ankle turned twice (57th), or this penalty missed by Joselu at the end of the match (90th). But like Rodrygo’s victorious solo raid (4-0, 61st), Real hit hard, and relegated Girona to five points in the standings. This is called hitting it big.
