RC Lens scored a third victory in a row in L1 this Saturday at the expense of Strasbourg (3-1).

The French vice-champion has found color again! Weighed down by a pitiful start to the season, Racing is once again among the leading roles in the championship. Witness his success today against Strasbourg – one of the most difficult teams to maneuver in recent weeks.

Thanks to a school action concluded by Wahi (16e), the Lensois were quick to find the fault (1-0, 16e), reinforced in their domination by a goal from Pereira Da Costa after half an hour of play (2-0, 30e). Delaine, however, having revived the Alsatian visitors just before the break (2-1, 43e).

The podium in sight

Thus threatened, the Artésiens had to turn their backs at the start of the second half while the Strasbourg players became emboldened. Only Sotoca, inspired, cut short the RCSA revolt by shaking the nets in turn (3-1, 58e). The KO goal for Strasbourg, which however had the merit of not giving up.

The scoreboard, however, did not change any further, sealing Lens’ victory for the third consecutive day, after the successes acquired on the pitches of Toulouse and Nantes. Here are the Sang et Or back at Lille and Monaco, two competitors respectively expected in Paris and Nice this weekend. Only one length from the podium and from Brestois who will travel to Clermont on Sunday.
