Inter Milan is killing the suspense in Super A. Six days after its victory in the summit clash against Juventus (1-0), Simone Inzaghi’s team followed up with a new prestigious success in imposing on the field of AS Rome (2-4) this Saturday.
Roma, however, remained on a series of three victories since the arrival of Daniele De Rossi (against poorly ranked players), and La Louve reacted well in the first period, after the opening score of Francesco Acerbi (18th), taking even the advantage thanks to Gianluca Mancini (28th) and Stephan El Shaarawy (44th).
But Inter regained control in the second half, thanks in particular to Marcus Thuram, scorer (49th), then decisive on Angelino’s CSC (59th). In added time, Alessandro Bastoni gave even more scope to the Nerazzurri’s victory (90th + 3).
In the standings, this series of five consecutive victories (seven, counting the Super Cup) allows Inter to provisionally take 7 points over Juventus at the top of the standings.
