Real Madrid player Andriy Lunin has chosen his favorite between Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappé, with both stars linked with the La Liga giants.
Both Haaland and Mbappé have been heavily linked with moves to Real Madrid, and speculation is rife around their potential moves to the Santiago Bernabéu. While most fans have mixed opinions, Lunin didn’t hesitate to make his choice during a quick question-and-answer session.
Lunin had no hesitation in choosing Norwegian sensation Manchester City over the talisman of France and Paris Saint-Germain. The goalkeeper told El Chiringuito: “As number nine, Erling Haaland.”
Lunin makes his choice
Lunin’s choice appears to be guided by Haaland’s suitability as a traditional number nine, which contrasts with Mbappé’s versatility in different attacking positions. If one of the two superstars joins Madrid, it will be a ‘Galactic’ signing who will strengthen the team alongside talents like Vinicius Junior and Jude Bellingham.
Mbappé has already made his choice to leave PSG this summer. But he wants to do it amicably and has reportedly promised to waive a significant loyalty bonus of 80 million euros if he leaves Paris this summer.
PSG have identified potential replacements for Mbappé, including Marcus Rashford, Victor Osimhen and Benjamin Sesko, as they prepare for the possibility of his departure this summer. In the short term, Mbappé remains committed to the French club and determined to help them win as many trophies as possible at the end of the season. He will be in action against Lille on Sunday in Ligue 1, while Haaland will take to the field a day earlier against Everton in the Premier League.
