Aurélien Tchouaméni left to start in the central hinge in the clash at the top of La Liga between Real Madrid and Girona, Saturday (6:30 p.m.). Antonio Rüdiger is back but Nacho is out.
Times are tough for Real Madrid. After conceding a draw against Atlético (1-1), last Sunday, with a particularly mediocre central defense Dani Carvajal-Nacho Fernandez, Carlo Ancelotti’s team will this time present a completely different hinge for the enormous shock against the runner-up Girona, Saturday evening (6:30 p.m.), at Santiago-Bernabéu.
Aurélien Tchouaméni will thus be associated with Antonio Rüdiger in defense for this long-awaited meeting against the Catalan surprise of the season (which has two points less). The defensive midfielder of the France team played next to the German rock each time he was placed behind, at the beginning of January against Mallorca and on October 7 against Osasuna. Eduardo Camavinga will therefore take advantage of this to evolve as number 6.
Another package in defense
If Rüdiger makes his return after his absence during the derby last weekend, Nacho, injured in his muscles, is out of this match on the 24th day of La Liga. As a reminder, David Alaba is unavailable for the rest of the season and Eder Militao continues his convalescence after a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament in his knee. Thibaut Courtois is also in the recovery phase.
The probable line-up of Real Madrid: Lunin – Carvajal, Rüdiger, Tchouaméni, Mendy – Valverde, Camavinga, Kroos – Bellingham – Rodrygo, Vinicius.
