Mbappé, the verdict is in for his ankle

Victim of a nasty sole on Wednesday in the Coupe de France, Kylian Mbappé took new exams this Thursday.

D-5 before the first round against Real Sociedad in the round of 16 of the Champions League. And five days before the summit duel on the lawn of the Parc des Princes against the Basque club, all eyes are on Kylian Mbappé’s ankle. Consequence of the ugly tackle received on Wednesday during the Coupe de France clash against Stade Brestois.

Taken by the speed of the French world champion, Lilian Brassier actually crushed the ankle of the former Monegasque in the heart of the second half. While the Breton defender was logically sent off, Kylian Mbappé was certainly able to finish the match but grimaced when returning to the locker room at the end of the match.

New reassuring exams

The first findings of the medical staff were nevertheless intended to be optimistic. “The doctors will observe him tomorrow (Thursday). He took a big hit to the ankle, but he was able to finish the match, and I don’t think it was very serious.”confided Luis Enrique after the match.

As announced, Kylian Mbappé therefore passed a series of exams this Thursday and according to France Bleu Paris, the results are indeed reassuring. A new point will nevertheless be made during the day with “new controls”, according to Bruno Salomon, the PSG specialist at France Bleu Paris. No risks will be taken with the top scorer in Ligue 1 and he could be preserved on Saturday when the Rouge et Bleu welcome Lille to the Parc des Princes.
