FC Metz will record a fairly unexpected start in the coming hours.

In great difficulty on a sporting level, FC Metz is working behind the scenes to adjust its squad. Active during the winter transfer window, the Lorraine club took advantage of this period to strengthen itself with the return of talented Georgian striker Georges Mikautadze.

But Metz was also active in the departures department. According to information from L’Équipe, the promoted player is on the verge of parting ways with Jean N’Guessan. After 7 small appearances in the garnet jersey, the 20-year-old Ivorian midfielder is already packing his bags.

Metz still active in the transfer window

This departure is quite surprising, in terms of timing, since Jean N’Guessan arrived during the previous off-season from OGC Nice. But the midfielder clearly did not meet the expectations raised by his potential.

L’Équipe specifies that N’Guessan should head to Asia and sign for the United Arab Admiralties, where the Al Wasl club awaits him with a lucrative three and a half year contract. An operation which should allow FC Metz to receive a significant transfer fee, of the order of 600,000 euros.
